A Night of Poetry Honoring Lucille Clifton | SAG-AFTRA Foundation

April is National Poetry Month and what better way to celebrate than to honor the life and legacy of renowned poet Lucille Clifton.

The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, The Clifton House, and the SAG-AFTRA Foundation came together to host a night of poetry readings and conversation in honor of Clifton’s legacy, bringing together an all-star group of actors and accomplices of all ages to lend their voice to the readings of Lucille Clifton. Featuring actors Geena Davis, Tantoo Cardinal, Isabella Gomez, Mark St. Cyr, Candace Nicholas Lippman, Max Gail, Nicco Annan; Poet Laureate of Los Angeles Lynne Thompson; Emmy-nominated producer and daughter of Lucille Clifton, Sidney Clifton; President and CEO of the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media Madeline di Nonno; and SAG-AFTRA Foundation National Director of Performers Programs Rochelle Rose.
