In an edition devoted to the restorative powers of laughter, who could address the topic more eloquently than two screen titans and outrageously talented entertainers like Geraldine Chaplin and John Malkovich? The duo is in Berlin as co-stars of the Berlinale Special Gala entry “Seneca – On the Creation of Earthquakes,” and will join us at Berlinale Talents to discuss working together in this dark comedy and parable about the dangers of totalitarianism. But this captivating rendezvous will also span their most iconic and hilarious performances from movies past. Debuting as a child actor in her father’s films, Chaplin went on to star in over 160 movies – and she’s not stopping anytime soon. Her fondness for acting makes her the perfect soul companion to Malkovich, who, with over four decades of acting credits to his name, claims his only talent is… curiosity.
