The Living Dead Grooming Guide: HFPA Exclusive

In the spirit of the season the HFPA recently dispatched a team of journalists to the top secret set of Cable’s number one hit series, to find out how the producers of The Walking Dead create the terrifying hordes of zombies that roam everyone’s favorite post-apocalyptic hellscape. We got an exclusive behind-the scenes peek at how a crew of top notch craftspeople make sure your nights are properly filled with nightmarish visions. Much of the groundwork in the show’s creature creation was laid by FX wizard Greg Nicotero, who has since graduated to series producer and director. His work is continued today by the experts, who showed us exactly what goes into the look of the Dead. Camera bit shaky, you say? Well, you try and hold it when you’re surrounded by Walkers on all sides!
