Forum section head Cristina Nord met with Christophe Cognet, director of “From Where They Stood”. Screening in the 2021 Forum programme.
About the film: A handful of photos of concentration and extermination camps were taken by those imprisoned there. Cognet’s film reads these images as acts of resistance and uses them as a starting point for research in Ravensbrück, Dachau and Auschwitz-Birkenau.
